You Don’t Need a Bigger Plate — Just Better Decisions Reader, last weekend, I stood in my backyard staring at my raised garden beds, seriously considering adding another one. More space. More plants. More possibility. It sounded like a great idea. But instead, I stayed with what I already had — and made myself do the harder thing: I chose what actually deserved to be planted. And I’ll be honest … that felt a lot more uncomfortable than building another bed. Because choosing means not choosing something else. And that’s where this connects to your business. When your business feels full, the instinct is almost automatic: “I need more time.” In other words … a bigger plate. But what I’ve seen (and experienced myself) is this: Most of the time, the issue isn’t capacity. It’s decision clarity. A full plate usually isn’t filled with too much of the right things. It’s filled with a mix of things that used to work, things that might work, things we feel obligated to keep, and things we never fully decided on in the first place. And all of that stays on your plate … competing for your time, energy, and attention. Here’s the shift that can change everything:
You don’t need to hold more.
You need to choose more clearly.
See, confident entrepreneurs don’t necessarily do less. But they do decide what belongs — and what doesn’t. And that’s what creates space. If this is hitting home for you, I go deeper into this idea (and walk through a simple way to start making these decisions) in this week’s article: Sustainable Business Growth for WFH Entrepreneurs: You Don’t Need a Bigger Plate — You Need Better Decisions It builds on what we’ve been talking about this month around sustainable growth and helps you move forward without overloading your schedule. But even without reading another thing, here’s something you can do this week: Your Action Step this WeekTake 10–15 quiet minutes and write down everything currently on your “plate” in your business — tasks, clients, platforms, ideas, commitments. Then ask yourself: “What am I choosing to fully support this week?” Circle just 1–3 things. Not everything that matters. Just what you’re committing to support well. Let the rest be undecided for now. (Yes, it might feel a little uncomfortable. That’s normal.) Because clarity doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from choosing on purpose. If you’d like a little more support in making these kinds of decisions with confidence, this month’s Mini Power Tool — the Capacity-Aware Growth Filter — walks you through a simple way to evaluate what fits your current season (and what doesn’t). Insiders and VIPs also have access to the full archive of tools, so you can build a business that feels clear, sustainable, and aligned — without constantly reinventing your systems. No pressure… just support if and when you’re ready. 💎 Upgrade to Insider/VIP access for instant access to the full Power Tool library. You don’t need a bigger plate. You just need to trust what you choose to put on it. And friend… you’re more than capable of that. 🌿✨

When Growth Means Making Space How work-from-home entrepreneurs can thin their commitments so the right work has room to thrive. Hi Reader, Last weekend I stepped into the backyard with a packet of seeds and a trowel, ready to start planting this year's garden. If you’ve ever gardened, you know the moment. There’s something hopeful about those tiny seeds — rows of possibility waiting to grow. But in my garden, every year something else happens, too ... Volunteer tomato plants show up. Lots of...
When Growth Feels Possible — But You Don’t Want to Burn Out Hey Reader, A funny thing happens around this time of year ... After the slow start of January and the rhythm-finding of February, March often brings a subtle shift. A little more energy. A little more clarity. You might find yourself thinking: “I think I’m ready for more.” More visibility.More opportunities.Maybe even more income. And that can be exciting. But if you’re anything like many experienced work-from-home entrepreneurs,...
Sustainable Work From Home Productivity in Real Life Reader, there’s something almost automatic that happens when a routine starts to feel harder. We assume it’s us. We think things like: “I was doing so well.” “What’s wrong with me?” “I need a better system.” But most of the time? Nothing is wrong. Your energy shifted. Your season changed. Life interrupted. Your capacity adjusted. And instead of recalibrating, we scrap the whole thing — very “new planner, new app, new Monday” energy. But...
