Feeling a Mid-May Slump? Try this reset

Feeling Stuck Mid-Month/Mid-Quarter? Try This Gentle Reset to Recalibrate

Reader, now that it's mid-May you may be feeling your energy starting to dip.

Summer’s around the corner, but not quite here. And in the meantime, it’s easy to feel scattered, sluggish, or unmotivated. That’s perfectly normal.

But you don’t need to wait for June — or a fresh goal cycle — to feel better about where you’re headed.

A simple mid-month reset can help you realign with what actually matters … without blowing up your to-do list or bulldozing your energy.

Not a dramatic reinvention. Not a pressure-filled productivity push.

Just a simple, intentional recalibration that helps you reconnect with what matters most — so you can move through the rest of the month with more clarity, energy, and confidence.

A Reset, Not a Restart

You don’t need a brand-new strategy — just a gentle, intentional check-in. Think of it as nurturing your way forward, not pushing harder.

It’s about tending to what you care about most in a way that serves and fuels you.

Here are five ways you could achieve a mid-month reset this week:

  • Refresh your workspace. A 15-minute tidy can shift your whole energy. Bonus points for lighting that candle you’ve been ignoring.
  • Name one small win. You’re doing more than you think — and small progress deserves celebration.
  • Reconnect with a priority. Ask yourself: What do I actually care about finishing this month?
  • Give something (or someone) a little extra care. Nurturing builds momentum — in your business, your relationships, and your self-trust.
  • Rewrite your “why.” A quick pep note to yourself can bring clarity, motivation, and heart back to your work.

Mid-month resets aren’t about getting it “right.” They’re about honoring where you are and choosing what comes next — on your terms.

Your Action Step this Week

Write down one thing you’ve done this month that you’re proud of — even if it felt small at the time. Stick it to your monitor, say it out loud like an affirmation, or turn it into a mini-celebration. Noticing your progress is the first step to regaining momentum.

Don’t Wait for a Big Event to Reach Out Hey Reader, Working from home can be empowering … but also a little isolating. And during summer — when people are vacationing, kids are home, and routines shift — it’s easy to fall into solo mode without even realizing it. That’s where this "trick" I discovered with milestones comes in ... Yes, we usually think of milestones as personal progress markers. But here’s a reframe: Milestones can be powerful prompts for connection, too. This week’s blog...

Celebrate More. Hustle Less Hey Reader, Ever seen a toddler take their first step? The room erupts. Clapping, cheering, maybe even tears. One tiny step … and we instinctively know it’s a big deal. But somewhere between baby steps and business plans, we stop celebrating progress like that. We wait for big milestones — the revenue leap, the launch, the polished result — and skip right past the smaller wins that actually get us there. This week, I want to challenge that. Because when you’re...

Redefine What Counts as a Milestone and Reinforce Your Momentum and Motivation Hey friend — This week, we’re flipping the script on what counts as a milestone. Because if you're only tracking the big, obvious moments — the product launches, the revenue wins, the dream clients — you might be missing out on the most motivating kind of progress. And that’s exactly why I want to invite you to redefine your milestones. Here’s the truth: Progress isn’t just about final results. It’s about all the...
