Hey Reader,

It’s Super Bowl Sunday! Whether you’re here for the game, the commercials, or the snacks (no judgment!), there’s a lot we can learn from the teams battling it out on the field today.

Because here’s the thing — winning in business, just like in football, doesn’t happen by accident. It takes strategy, discipline, and a mindset that refuses to settle.

For example, consider what Coach Collins told the Georgia Tech football team in the short video clip I shared with you above:

“Lazy people do a little work and think they should be winning. But winners work as hard as possible and still worry if they’re being lazy.”

You can’t be lazy and win a football game. And you can’t “do a little work” and succeed in business.

So, while the Chiefs and the Eagles gear up for kickoff today, let’s break down 5 Super Bowl strategies you can apply to your business starting tomorrow:

5 Super Bowl Strategies for WFH Business Success

1. Have a Game Plan
Super Bowl teams don’t just wing it. They study, strategize, and know exactly how they’re going to tackle every play. The same goes for your business. Whether you’re managing clients, handling outreach, or juggling projects, having a clear plan keeps you focused and on track.

Pro Tip: Map out your weekly priorities every Monday morning (or Sunday, if that’s your habit). Knowing what’s coming helps you stay ahead and avoid last-minute stress.

2. Review the Playbook

Players memorize plays to be ready for any situation. For you, that “playbook” could be your business systems. Are your follow-ups consistent? Are you tracking leads effectively? If your process feels chaotic, it might be time to simplify things.

(Hint: My Follow-Up Formula for Freelancers course is your Trello playbook for effortless organization — more on that below!)

3. Make Halftime Adjustments

At halftime, teams assess what’s working and what’s not. They pivot, tweak, and come back stronger in the second half. Your business deserves that same attention. Are your routines helping or hindering your productivity? Is your client outreach landing the way you want?

Regular check-ins help you adjust before things go off-course.

4. Teamwork Wins Games

Even WFH solo entrepreneurs need a strong support system. Building relationships with clients, collaborators, and mentors is key to long-term success. And that means staying connected, following up, and showing up consistently.

Remember: You don’t have to do it all alone — your “team” is whoever helps you stay inspired and accountable.

5. Celebrate Your Wins

Whether it’s a touchdown or signing a new client, every win counts. Recognizing your progress fuels motivation and builds momentum. So, when’s the last time you celebrated a business win, big or small?

Take a moment today to reflect on how far you’ve come. Do your own version of an end zone victory dance. You’ve earned it.

Play to Win

If your WFH business game plan could use some fine-tuning, my Follow-Up Formula for Freelancers course is here to help. It’s a step-by-step system using Trello to keep your client and prospect follow-ups organized and effortless — because no opportunity should slip through the cracks.

How to Reset When Your Day Goes Off the Rails No matter how well you plan your day, Reader, life will happen — especially when you’re working from home. Maybe the kids (or your spouse/partner) stayed home sick. Maybe the dog needed an emergency bath after rolling in something questionable. Maybe you’ve just been dragging all day, fighting off low energy and struggling to focus. Whatever the reason, suddenly it’s mid-afternoon, your to-do list is untouched, and that little voice in your head...

Speak Positivity and Confidence Into Your Day in Less Than 3 Minutes Hey Reader, What if you could set the tone for your entire day in just three minutes? The words we say — especially to ourselves — matter more than we realize. They shape our thoughts, our confidence, and even our actions. But too often, we start the day with stress, doubt, or a never-ending mental to-do list instead of intentionally speaking positivity and confidence into our lives. That’s why I’m sharing a short but...
