Reader, I consider myself to be a confident, take-charge woman. And yet, there are days when deciding what's for dinner feels so overwhelming I’d rather not eat at all.

Sound familiar?

That “I can’t make one more choice” feeling has a name: decision fatigue.

Decision fatigue happens when your brain gets tired from making too many decisions throughout the day. Even small choices, like what to eat, can feel monumental when your mental energy is drained.

One thing that’s helped me combat this is my HelloFresh subscription. By limiting my choices to just a few curated meal options, I save my energy for more important decisions.

And this idea isn’t just for dinner. Limiting choices throughout your work-from-home day can save you time, reduce stress, and make decision-making easier. Here’s what that can look like:

  • Time-blocking: Pre-plan your day into focused chunks of time for specific tasks. Instead of deciding “What do I work on next?”, your schedule already tells you.
  • Streamlined workflows: Use systems like Trello to keep tasks organized. Seeing a prioritized list makes it easier to know where to start.
  • Routines and habits: Automate as much of your day as possible — when you check email, when you take breaks, and even what you wear.

Action Steps to Simplify and Thrive

Try any (or all!) of these action steps:

  1. Pre-decide your day: Take 10 minutes each evening to plan tomorrow’s top 3 priorities.
  2. Limit options: Whether it’s meal prepping, batching tasks, or a minimalist wardrobe, fewer choices mean less decision fatigue.
  3. Stick to your systems: Create routines and tools that make decisions for you.

By limiting your choices, you free up energy for what truly matters — your goals, your productivity, and yes, even your sanity.

So, what’s one decision you can simplify today? Let’s make it easier to win at work and life, together.

How to Reset When Your Day Goes Off the Rails No matter how well you plan your day, Reader, life will happen — especially when you’re working from home. Maybe the kids (or your spouse/partner) stayed home sick. Maybe the dog needed an emergency bath after rolling in something questionable. Maybe you’ve just been dragging all day, fighting off low energy and struggling to focus. Whatever the reason, suddenly it’s mid-afternoon, your to-do list is untouched, and that little voice in your head...

Speak Positivity and Confidence Into Your Day in Less Than 3 Minutes Hey Reader, What if you could set the tone for your entire day in just three minutes? The words we say — especially to ourselves — matter more than we realize. They shape our thoughts, our confidence, and even our actions. But too often, we start the day with stress, doubt, or a never-ending mental to-do list instead of intentionally speaking positivity and confidence into our lives. That’s why I’m sharing a short but...
